Odisha: Rs 24,91,300 fine collected, 870 vehicles seized, 27 arrested in 1 day for violating Covid guidelines
Bhubaneswar: Odisha Police collected Rs. 24,91,300 fine, seized 870 vehicles and arrested 27 people in 24 hours for violation of Covid 19 guidelines. Odisha Police informed about it in a tweet on Wednesday.
“From morning of 06.04.2021 to morning of 07.04.2021, 1 case regd, 27 people arrested, 870 vehicles seized, Rs. 24,91,300/- fine collected by Odisha Police for violation of COVID 19 guidelines,” said the tweet.
Odisha Police also urged people to be careful and be safe. “The effect of the Corona Virus still continues. We urge all to be careful and be safe,” the tweet also said.
It is to be noted that Odisha CM issued directives over management of Covid 19 in the State after reviewing Covid situation on Tuesday and accordingly a 10 days special Police drive for enforcement of Covid safety regulations has been launched from today which will continue till April 16.
