Berhampur: A woman Sub-Inspector (SI) of police has been suspended for allegedly attacking an IIC at Pattapur police station in Odisha’s Ganjam district.
According to reports, SI Pritimanjari Gadnayak and her husband had attacked IIC Ajay Barik at the police station on Monday night over an official dispute.
Later, the IIC lodged a complaint against Gadnayak at the Pattapur police station and drew the attention of higher authority in this connection.
On the basis of Barik’s complaint, Chhatrapur SDPO Thakur Prasad Patra visited the police station for an enquiry over the incident.
Later, the SI was placed under suspension by Ganjam SP Brijesh Kumar Roy.
