Berhampur: The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI), Bhubaneswar on Tuesday seized ganja worth Rs1.48 crore from a truck near Berhampur.
DRI officials said that they intercepted the truck on NH 16 near Berhampur and recovered ganja weighing 989 kilograms from the truck.
“The contraband was concealed with onion sacks to hoodwink enforcement agencies. We have also detained two persons for further interrogation,” said a DRI official.
DRI officials said that they are also trying to ascertain the involvement of any organised gang in the incident.
