Bhubaneswar: The Odisha unit of Congress on Wednesday finalized the list of its candidates who will likely to contest the 2019 Lok Sabha election in the state. This was informed by Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) president Niranjan Patnaik after the conclusion of the Pradesh Election Committee (PEC) meeting which was held at Congress Bhawan here today.
Speaking to the newsmen, Patnaik said that the party has given preferences to youth, women and candidates with high-probability of winning while selecting the possible contenders of the party.
The list of the possible Lok Sabha candidates, meanwhile, has been sent to the party’s Central Election Committee (CEC) for its approval, said the OPCC president.
