Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik reviews Covid situation in State

CM suggested to remain cautious as the coming few weeks are very important. He also stressed on vaccination

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday reviewed Covid situation in the State. On this occasion he said that the third wave of Covid 19 is spreading rapidly. In Odisha also Covid cases are on rise. Hence, coming few weeks are very important and hence everybody should be cautious. He appealed the citizens to abide the Covid rules strictly.

The CM said that although during this third wave of Covid hospitalization has decreased, still we need to remain prepared.

Similarly, he stressed on vaccination and said that although vaccination in the State is satisfactory, we should give more attention towards vaccination of those who wants second dose and the persons who are yet to be vaccinated.

On this occasion the CM issued directive to the Police Department to see that Covid norms are strictly followed.

Since during this third wave, many infected persons are in home isolation, we need to strengthen the monitoring system for which the Rapid Response Team as well as the field level workers need to keep in regular contact with the persons in home isolation, the CM said.
