Bhubaneswar: A startling development has been noticed in the cameraman Manas Swain murder case of Odisha on Monday. It has been found that the lens-man has been murdered due to a digital chip.
Meanwhile Police have arrested two more people in this connection. One of these two accused persons is a retired OIS officer identified as Niranjan Sethy. He has been sent to jail. The other accused has been identified as Ranjan Nayak.
As per reports, enough evidence have been collected proving involvement of the OIS officer in the murder case. He was said to be the master mind behind this crime.
So far the main accused Sarmistha Rout and her aides are at large.
It is astonishing to find that the retired OIS officer Sethy in this case. Ie has been questioned whether he had any link with Sarmistha? How he is involved in this murder case.
In the murder case of Manas Swain, Police so far have arrested 5 persons. Earlier 3 persons had been arrested while two others got arrested.
Reportedly, Police are conducting raids at different places to nab the main accused Sarmistha and her aides Jhuna Bhoi and Ranjan Nayak alias Raj.
As per Police information, on February 7, Manas Kumar Swain of Godipokhari village under Ranapur Police station in Nayagarh district had been kidnapped from Nalgunda of Chandbali area in Bhadrak district. Later, his body was exhumed from the forest near Badhipatna village in Narendrapur Panchayat in Ranapur area.
