Bhadrak: The owner of a web portal in Odisha was reportedly found to be the mastermind behind the murder of cameraman Manas Swain. While the woman is still at large, Police have conducted raids at different places in search of her. So far three persons have been arrested in this connection. Chandbali Police have conducted scene recreation through the accused persons.
As per Police information, on February 7, Manas Kumar Swain of Godipokhari village under Ranapur Police station in Nayagarh district had been kidnapped from Nalgunda of Chandbali area in Bhadrak district.
Allegedly, the said woman web portal owner and her 5 allies had kept him in an Ashram of Bhubaneswar following the kidnap and later killed him. And to destroy evidence they had buried the body near Gadipokhari under Ranapur Police limits, the native place of the deceased.
Deceased Manas was working as a cameraman in the web media. His body has been exhumed from the forest near Badhipatna village in Narendrapur Panchayat in Ranapur area.
The SDPO of Chandbali has said that the other accused persons of the case will be nabbed soon.
