Odisha Cabinet approves 14 proposals, check details here

Odisha Cabinet which met this evening under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik gave its approval for a total of 14 proposals.

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Cabinet which met this evening under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik gave its approval for a total of 14 proposals of 12 departments.

According to reports, as many as 15 proposals were tabled and discussed during the meeting. However, 14 proposals got the Cabinet nod today.

The Odisha Cabinet has approved the proposal for Coffee Plantation for Sustainable Livelihoods (CPSL) will be implanted in six district of the state namely Koraput, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Keonjhar and Gajapati. It also approved the Odisha Biotechnology Policy 2024.

This apart the Naveen Patnaik-led cabinet approved the following proposals:

  • State Cabinet approves clarification amendments in IPR 2022.
  • Special Incentive package for the JSW Group’s ambitious Electric Vehicle and Component Manufacturing projects in Naraj, Cuttack and Paradip.
  • The proposal of the Revenue and DM Department for amendment of the Odisha Government Land Settlement Rules, 1983 to reduce the conversion of leasehold land of OSHB or a Development Authority, as the case may be, for residential purpose into freehold from the existing 10 % of the valuation of land fixed under the guideline prescribed under the Odisha Stamp Rules, 1952 for a Gharbari kisam of land situated in the vicinity.
  • The Cabinet approved for amendment of Odisha Government Press Industrial Employees Classification Recruitment, Promotion, Condition of service and appeal rules, 1978 (and Amendment Rules, 2016).
  • Odisha Cabinet approved proposal for creation of one new Excise Station at Koksara in the district of Kalahandi for strengthening of Excise Administration.
  • The Odisha Veterinary Technical Service Group “C” (Recruitment and Conditions of Service) Amendment Rules, 2023 also got the approval of the Cabinet.
  • The proposal for amendment of the Odisha Fire Service (Method of Recruitment and conditions of Service of Group-A and Group-B Officers) Rule, 2021 got the approval of the Cabinet.
  • The State Cabinet also approved the turnkey tender of project construction of 6952 bedded working women’s hostel at seafood park at Deras in Khurda with a cost of Rs 329 Crore.
  • The State Cabinet today approved Odisha Procurement Preference Policy for Micro and Small Manufacturing Enterprises- 2023.
  • Cabinet has approved the proposal to give minimum pension to the ex VLWs.
  • The State Cabinet also gave its green signal for a proposal of the Food, Supplies and Consumer Welfare Department regarding the National Food Security Act, (NFSA).
