Odisha: Bhubaneswar police resumes strict checking ahead of New Year

Bhubaneswar: In a notable development, the Bhubaneswar Police Commissionerate has taken strict measures in order to curb ‘drink and drive’ in the capital city of Odisha. In case drivers are found under the influence of alcohol, their vehicles will be seized by the police.

To improve the safety conditions on roads, the police has intensified their strict checking in Bhubaneswar. All entry and exit points of Bhubaneswar have been barricaded. Vehicles passing through these points are being checked thoroughly.

So far, over 10 vehicles have already been seized by the police in Damana area of Bhubaneswar. Ahead of the New Year, the police is prioritizing the safety of the local people. The strict checking and blockings in Bhubaneswar are a part of the effort the maintain law and order on the roads.
