Sambalpur: In view of decreasing water level at the Hirakud dam here in Odisha, three sluice gates of the reservoir have been closed on Thursday morning.
Currently, floodwater is being released through four sluice gates of the reservoir, the Hirakud Dam authority said.
The water level of Hirakud dam reservoir stood at 623.04feet at 7 AM today, while the dam has a capacity of holding water upto 630 feet, officials said.
