Bhubaneswar: In a proud moment for Odisha, Anwesha Aditi Mohapatra of Sambalpur has won the 2nd runners up trophy at the Miss India Planet 2022. The finals of the event were held between March 27 and 29 in Delhi and was organised by Gleamdiva.
It was her childhood dream to wear a beautiful evening gown and a tiara at a national level beauty pageant. She started working on her ambition at the age of 16, and has finally been able to represent the state on a national level.
Apart from modelling, Anwesha has also managed on being a good student as she graduated in Information Science and Telecommunications from Gangadhar Meher College, Sambalpur.
Coming back to her win at Miss India Planet 2022, she was the only participant from Odisha to make it to the top 15 finalists. From competing with thousands of girls in the auditions and mega auditions to being in top 3, Anwesha describes her journey to be ‘exciting.’
Earlier, the 20-year-old has won Miss Odisha by Odisha’s Beauty Association, Odisha’s Next Top Model, Miss Sukanya Sambalpur, and Miss VASSAUNT by VSSUT, Burla. She has also been the finalist at the Odisha Queen contest.
Reportedly, Anwesha is also a trained Hindustani classical singer, Youtuber, and social media influencer.
