Newly appointed OPCC president Sarat Pattanayak takes charge

Bhubaneswar: Senior Congress leader Sarat Pattanayak today took charge as the president of Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC).

Pattanayak took charge from former OPCC chief Niranjan Patnaik at the Congress Bhawan this afternoon after returning to Bhubaneswar from Delhi.

He was given a rousing welcome on his arrival at the Biju Patnaik International Airport by the party leaders and workers.

While speaking to the media persons after assuming the post, he said that he would work towards strengthening the party organization and prepare a roadmap for the 2024 general election with the support and help of each and every leader and worker of the party in the State.

It is to be noted here that the All Indian Congress Committee (AICC) President Sonia Gandhi had on May 23 appointed Sarat Pattanayak as the President of OPCC.
