Naveen Patnaik felicitates winning Odisha Police contingent

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today felicitated a contingent of the Odisha Police that had won the ‘Best Marching Contingent’ award in Kolkata while participating the Independence Day parade this year.

The Chief Minister felicitated the Odisha state police at State Secretariat in the presence of Chief Secretary A.P Padhi, DGP R.P Sharma, Additional Chief Secretary of Home Department, Asit Kumar Tripathy and other dignitaries.

Congratulating them for the achievement, the CM said their performance has brought laurels for the state.

The officials of the winning contingent also presented the trophy to the CM.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had handed the contingent the prize after it was adjudged as the Best Marching Contingent. The armed police contingents from West Bengal and Para Military Forces were also the other participants of the event.
