MP Achyuta Samanta reviews projects in Kandhamal constituency, attends Sargiful Festival

Kandhamal MP Achyuta Samanta on the occasion of his two-day parliamentary field review programme participated in the Sargiful Festival.

Phulbani: Kandhamal MP Achyuta Samanta on the occasion of his two-day parliamentary field review programme participated in the Sargiful Festival being held at Nedipadar Government Girls High School in Phiringia Block and praised the efforts of the SC and ST Development Department of the state government. He said that the talents of tribal students in rural areas can come to the light through this kind of festivals.

Later, the Kandhamal MP attended the 4th Zilla Parishad meeting at Phulbani and reviewed the educational and health sectors of the district. He also emphasized on opening more upgraded high schools and +2 colleges in the district. He also took a serious note of how to enroll the children of the schools closed due to lack of children in other schools of the district.

During the meeting, Samanta also advised the District Chief Medical Officer to prevent all doctors and staff from leaving the hospitals without permission to improve healthcare. Later, he attended the fifth DISHA meeting organized by the Kandhamal District Council and reviewed the various development activities of the district and discussed the future initiatives.

Phulbani MLA Angad Kanhar, Baliguda MLA Chakramani Kanhar and G Udaygiri MLA Saluga Pradhan, Zilla Parishad chairman Nandini Mallick and District Collector Ashish Ishwar Patil were present in the meeting.

Likewise, the MP suggested that all the villages of the district should be electrified by December 31.
