Cuttack: In a saddening incident, a woman has been thrashed by her daughter over property issues on Mother’s Day in Rajib village under Golaganda Panchayat in Banki block of Cuttack district.
Reportedly, the accused daughter was living at her paternal house after an altercation with her in-laws.
She has been asking her mother to transfer her share of her father’s property to her name. However, she denied supporting her in this regard as the accused daughter had two brothers and two daughters.
As a result, the woman was thrashed by her daughter and her granddaughter in an enraged state of mind. When the woman tried to shout and call for help, the mother daughter-duo put a cloth inside her mouth to stop her from shouting.
Later, the victim woman asked for help at Baideshwar police station as his sons were not at home during the heinous incident. However, she alleged that the cops did not take her seriously.
Thereafter, the victim woman’s son asked his sister to leave immediately after knowing about the incident.
