Mayurbhanj: In a shocking incident, an allegation of rape of a minor in Odisha has been brought against a police ASI and home guard.
According to reports, the incident has taken place in Mayurbhanj district of Odisha. It has been alleged that the minor was raped repeatedly on the pretext of marriage both by the ASI and the hme guard.
A written allegation in this regard has been brought against the ASI identified as Anand Majhi. He had allegedly kept the minor girl to take care of his son and daughter after the death of his wife.
The medical examination of the accused Anand Majhi was done at Rairangpur hospital along with the recording of the minor’s statement.
Later it is worth mentioning here that, the ASI was arrested under the POCSO Act and prosecuted in the POCSO court at Baripada in Mayurbhanj district of Odisha.
Earlier, the home guard of Jamda police station was arrested on charges of molesting a minor on the advice of a sorcerer. On the other hand recently, four accused have been sentenced to 20 years in prison in the case of a gang rape in Sundargarh district of Odisha.
