Kendrapara: A class IX girl was allegedly abducted and gang-raped by two youths at a village under Aul police limits in the district.
Though the incident took place on Sunday the matter came to light after the parents of the victim lodged a police complaint.
As per the complaint of the victim, two youths forcefully abducted her when she went outside to attend nature’s call. The youths later took her to an isolated place and raped her. “They have also threatened the girl of dire consequences if she told the matter to anyone,” said a police official.
Police have started an investigation after registering a case in this connection. Police have also detained one person and are interrogating him further.
