Minor dies in Odisha as train runs over him while flying kite

In a tragic incident, a minor was killed as a train ran over him while he was flying a kite in Bhubaneswar, the capital city of Odisha. 

Bhubaneswar: In a tragic incident, a minor was killed as a train ran over him while he was flying a kite in Bhubaneswar, the capital city of Odisha.

According to reliable reports, the minor boy aged around 14 years was flying a kite near the railway line near their slum in Saheednagar when the incident took place.

The minor was the son of Surjya Kanta Patra. He was a resident of the Shanti Palli slum in Saheed nagar area of Bhubaneswar, said reliable reports.

The incident took place in the evening hours of Saturday. The minor and a few of his friends were flying the kite near the railway line. The string of the kite got cut and the boy was crossing the railway line when the train came and run him over.

The boy received deep injuries to his head and his leg got cut off, said reliable reports in this regard. The boy was studying in the ninth standard.

The GRP reached the spot and seized the body and sent it for postmortem to Capital Hospital. Detailed reports awaited in this regard.
