A married woman alleged that she was kidnaped by some unknown persons while sleeping in her house in Cuttack last night.

Cuttack: A married woman alleged that she was kidnaped by some unknown persons while sleeping in her house in Cuttack last night.

The woman, who is a native of West Bengal but married in Nimachaudi area under Mangalabagh Police station limits of Cuttack, was reportedly sleeping in the house last night. In the meantime, some people entered the house and kidnapped her.

When she got up, the woman found herself in a moving car along with four others including a woman. However, she managed to escape from them when they stopped the vehicle in the Infocity area of Bhubaneswar.

Later, with the help of some locals, she went to the Infocity Police Station and narrated her ordeal to the cops. She was then taken to the Mangalabag Police station in Cuttack City.

Mangalabag Police put her in a Sudhar Gruha, a correction home, and called her family members.

“Last night I was sleeping. When I opened my eyes, I found myself in a car with three boys and one girl. When I got my senses, I realized that they were kidnapping me. However, I pretended as if I was still asleep. When they stopped the vehicle and got out of it for some work, I fled from there by pushing them and reached the police station,” the woman said.

Police have started an investigation into the matter. The family members of the woman are said to be called for interrogation to find some clue in the case.
