Man Slapped Challan For Over Speeding On Puri Highway Claims He Was In Jeypore During Offence

Koraput: In a bizarre incident a man was allegedly served with a challan of Rs 2000 for over speeding on Bhubaneswar-Puri Highway though he claimed that he and his motorcycle was in Jeypore.

The person identified as Tapas Nanda said that he received a message on his mobile phone from VAHAN that he has issued with a challan of Rs 2000 for traffic violations by RTO II Bhubaneswar.

“I clicked the link provide in the message and found that I have been slapped a challan of Rs 2000 for over speeding and driving without licence on November 19. I was shocked as I was present here on that day. I have CCTV footage of my office to establish my claim,” said Nanda.

He also said that he will lodge a formal police compliant in this regard.
