Rayagada: In a tragic incident a man was killed in Rayagada district of Odisha on Monday as two neighbours fought over release of drain water. The incident took place in the Harijan sahi of Kumbhikota village under Rayagada Sadar block.
The deceased has been identified as Ajay Koshla.
As per reports, dispute was there between the families of Ajay Khoshla and Gorekha Khora for release of drain water. Today verbal spat erupted between the two family members. Soon it took an ugly turn and the family members got engaged in physical fight.
Reportedly, due to the schuffle Ajay fell unconscious. He was rushed to the local Primary Health Centre. However, the doctors in the hospital announced him brought dead.
After being alerted, Rayagada Police reached the spot and started investigation. Police seized the body and sent to the head quarter hospital for autopsy. The deceased’s family members have lodged a complaint against four persons with Rayagada Police. Investigation of the case is underway.
