Low Pressure Area Over South Odisha, Heavy Rainfall Predicted: IMD

Bhubaneswar: The Low-Pressure Area over south interior Odisha & neighbourhood now lies over coastal areas of south Odisha.

The low pressure also extends over north Andhra Pradesh and neighbourhood areas.

The Low-Pressure area may be with the associated cyclonic circulation extending upto 7.6 km above mean sea level tilting southwestwards with height.

The monsoon trough now passes through Bikaner, Sikar, Shivpuri, Satna and Jharsuguda.

The centre of Low Pressure Area over coastal areas of south Odisha, north Andhra Pradesh and neighbourhood and thence southeastwards to East central Bay of Bengal and extends upto 1.5 km above mean sea level.

Southwest monsoon has been active over Odisha. Light to Moderate rain / thundershower have occurred at most places over the districts of Odisha with Heavy rainfall at one or two places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Ganjam and Dhenkanal of Odisha.
