According to reports, a college teacher in Sambalpur died as he was beaten up by a student. He died in Burla Medical after being treated for nine months. He died late last night.
The deceased teacher was a resident of Jharsuguda he has been identified as Amit Kumar Barik of Katapali College. Last February, a student, Rajesh Kumar beaten up by a teacher after he scolded him for something.
Later, lecturer Amit Barik was admitted to Burla Medical Center in critical condition. However, the lecturer died late last night after undergoing treatment for nine months.
On the morning of the incident, Amit reprimanded Rajesh for coming late to class. There was a lot of discussion about it. Rajesh then attacked Amit in anger. He died yesterday after nine months of treatment.
The accused student Rajesh has been arrested by the police and taken to court.
