Kandhamal: Kandhamal SP, Prateek Singh came to the rescue of a seven year old girl suffering from sickle cell disease by donating blood.
As per reports the minor girl having B positive blood group was recently admitted to the District Headquarters Hospital.
The parents of the girl tried their best to arrange a blood but failed to do so as the blood bank of the hospital did not have any stock of the blood group.
The IPS officer came to know about the incident and later rushed to the hospital where he donated blood to save the girl.
