Kalahandi University renamed as Ma Manikeshwari University, Approved by Chief Minister
The Kalahandi University has been renamed as Ma Manikeshwari University and has been approved by Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik.
Bhubaneswar: The Kalahandi University has been renamed as Ma Manikeshwari University and has been approved by Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
Kalahandi University has been renamed after Goddess Ma Manikeshwari, the famous Goddess of Kalahandi district in Odisha. Now it will be known as Ma Manikeswari University, Bhavanipatna. In this regard, the Chief Minister has approved the proposal of the Higher Education Department.
It is worth noting that Kalahandi University was established in 01.09.2020 with a total of 50 constituent colleges. Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik during his visit to Kalahandi last November announced to rename this university after Ma Manikeshwari.
