Humanity Beyond Duty! Good Samaritan Nabarangpur Collector Rescues, Admits Accident Victims At Hospital

Nabarangpur: Setting an example for everyone, Nabarangpur Collector Ajit Kumar Mishra on Monday showed his humanity by going beyond his duty as he rescued two critically injured accident victims and admitted them at hospital for treatment.

While returning to Nabarangpur after attending a meeting in Jharigaon Block, Mishra noticed two youths lying on the road near Barli. They had sustained critical injuries after meeting with an accident.

The collector tried his best to contact the 108 Ambulance but he could not as there was no mobile network in the area. However, without any further delay, he carried the profusely bleeding youths to the Nabarangpur District Headquarter Hospital in the district project director’s vehicle.

Mishra also met the staff of the hospital who attended the accident victims and inquired about the youths’ health condition. He also directed the doctors to provide better treatment to the injured persons.

Meanwhile, the collector’s act of kindness has now become a talk of the town with people across the district hailing him.
