Gas cylinder explodes in Nayagarh; Woman dies, husband along with kids critical

Nayagarh: A cooking gas cylinder has exploded at Biridiha village under Khandapada police limits of Nayagarh district on Tuesday in which a woman has died while her husband along with the kids have sustained critical injuries.

The deceased has been identified as Harapriya Pattajoshi.

Reportedly, the cooking gas exploded due to the negligence of Harapriya in the kitchen in which she lost her life on the spot. Her husband along with her six year old daughter and five months old son have sustained critical injuries.

On getting the information, Khandapada fire fighters arrived at the spot and contained the blaze. Meanwhile, the critical patients were rushed to Casualty and Out Patient Department of District Headquarter Hospital (DHH) for immediate treatment.
