Enterprise Odisha 2019 begins today

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurated the 22nd Enterprise Odisha, a multi-sectoral exhibition organised by Confederation of Indian Industry  (CII), at the IDCO Exhibition Ground here on Wednesday. The event will be concluded on November 16.

Speaking on the occasion, The Chief Minister said, “ Odisha has been marching ahead on the path of industrial development. Focussing on 5Ts i.e. Transparency, Technology, Time and Team-Work for achieving Transformational goals, my Government has taken up several proactive business friendly measures with the objective of creating an industry-led ecosystem of value addition, sustainable employment generation and revenue augmentation for the State.”

“Targeting the development of a conducive industrial and investment climate, our Government promulgated progressive and sector- specific policies. Special emphasis has been given in these policies to facilitate inclusiveness in enterprise development with dedicated incentives for Women, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Differently abled entrepreneurs.  Our focus has also been on development of enabling Industrial Infrastructure in relatively less industrially developed districts of Odisha,” he said.

“Flagship initiatives of our Government such as Skilled in Odisha have ensured that the industrial work force in Odisha is skilled and up-to date with the latest technologies towards enhanced employability. The Start-Up Odisha initiative has been working towards facilitation of start-ups, targeting emergence of Odisha amongst top 3 Start-up Hubs by 2020. The youth and entrepreneurs should take maximum benefits from such initiatives of the State Government,” he added.

 

“Odisha has been a leader in leveraging IT for ease of doing business and industrial development. Through, GO SWIFT portal, all the facilitation needed by an industrial unit during the investment life cycle of the project is being provided in a time bound manner. I am happy to note that more than 1000 industrial units have taken benefit of the GO SWIFT portal within a span of 2 years. I would encourage all industry bodies to sensitise the stakeholders about the business reforms and initiatives taken up by the State Government and ensure optimum utilization of these initiatives by all the industries, “the Chief Minister said.

A wide range of industrial and construction equipments, IT services, education, real estate, automobile sector incorporating the latest technologies and methods of productions will be showcased in the event.
