Engineer Killed In Car Crash In Ganjam District Of Odisha

Berhampur: A Junior Engineer was killed while two others were critically injured after the tyre of a speeding car they were travelling in burst mid-way on National Highway near Rambha police station in Ganjam district.

The deceased has been identified as Sajit of Tangi while the injured have been identified as Sidharth Patnaik and Rajat Kumar Nahak.

According to sources, the deceased Sajit was a Junior Engineer in Parlakhemundi electric department. He was on holiday to his village Tangi.

The incident occurred while he along with three others were returning to Parlakhemundi from Bhubaneswar.

The passers-by said the car was speeding when one of its tyre burst halfway. The driver lost control on the vehicle and it first crashed
into a road divider and then overturned.

The injured people were stuck inside the vehicle. Locals rescued them and rushed to a nearby hospital where Sajit was declared dead.

The condition of the two injured still remains critical.
