Dense fog in Odisha to continue for two more days as IMD issues yellow warning for several districts

The regional centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) here today informed that the ongoing dense fog in Odisha would continue for the next two days.

Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) here today informed that the ongoing dense fog in Odisha would continue for the next two days.

The weather department has issued yellow warnings for several districts till 8.30 AM of January 7.

Here’s the fog warning of IMD:

Day 1 (Valid upto 8.30 AM of January 6, 2024):

  • Dense fog very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Koraput, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Rayagada, Ganjam, Gajapati, Nayagarh and Khurda.

Day 2 (valid from 8.30 AM of January 6, 2024 to 8.30 AM of January 7):

  • Dense fog very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Kandhamal, Nabarangpur and Kalahandi.

Meanwhile, the Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) has advised the police and transport officials of respective districts to take necessary steps for controlled plying of vehicles on highways during dense fog to avoid any road accidents.
