Baripada: Baripada town police have successfully foiled a dacoity bid on Wednesday. Two of the six from the dacoity gang have been arrested with guns and a number of other weapons.
As per reports, the Baripada police received a tip-off that a gang of six dacoits were spotted in Gandhi Park. The police immediately reached the site and were able to arrest two of them. Rest four absconded.
The police confirmed that the dacoit gang was planning to loot multiple jewellery showrooms.
Attempts are being made to arrest the absconding dacoits.
