Cyclone Jawad Effect Junior Hockey World Cup match to be held in Bhubaneswar shifted: FIH
Bhubaneswar: As many as four matches were scheduled to be played on the final day (Sunday) of FIH Odisha Hockey Men’s Junior World Cup in Bhubaneswar.
However due to incessant rains under the influence of Cyclone Jawad, the first match scheduled to be played at 10:30 am between Spain and Malaysia has been shifted to 11:oo informed the International Hockey Federation (FIH) via a tweet.
There were four (4) matches that were to be played today, which are as follows:
However the FIH informed that:
“Due to heavy rainfalls, it is not possible to play for the moment. A decision regarding the 7th/8th place match between Spain and Malaysia (initially scheduled to start at 10:30 IST) will be taken at 11:00 IST.”
“We will keep you posted”, added the FIH in the above stated tweet, on its official twitter handle.
