Covid Update Twin City: Bhubaneswar records 474 Covid-19 positive cases, Cuttack records 80 cases

Bhubaneswar: Bhubaneswar records 474 covid-19 positive cases on February 2. On the other hand, Cuttack city reported 80 new Covid-19 cases today. The Covid-19 positive cases in Twin City is currently on a declining trend.

According to reports by Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), out of the total 474 positive cases registered today, 44 cases are quarantine cases while 430 cases are local contact cases.

With today’s development, the total Covid-19 positive cases have increased to 1,52,541. The recovered cases are 1,39,436. The total deceased cases are 1126. At present, the active Covid-19 cases in Bhubaneswar stand at 11,958.

In the Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC area) 80 new Covid-19 cases were registered. While 12 cases were Institutional quarantine cases, 35 cases were home quarantine cases. As many as 33 local contact cases were recorded today.

The total cases in CMC are 55,288 while the recovered cases are 53,571. Active cases today are 1288 while the deaths are 429.

The recovered cases in BMC and CMC today are 547 and 208 respectively.

Odisha reported 3,450 fresh cases of Covid including 436 in the 0-18 years age group, informed the Information and Public Relations (I&PR) Department on Wednesday.

The new 3,450 positive cases include 714 cases from Khordha, followed by Sundargarh at 287 and Cuttack at 202.

Among the 3,450 positives, 2.012 patients are in quarantine, and 1,438 are the local contacts. Currently, the active cases stand at 37,762.
