Bhubaneswar: Director of Directorate of Medical Education and Training (DMET) Dr CBK Mohanty on Saturday (April 24) informed that Covid situation in Odisha is in a better position than any other states.
The health official informed media persons, that the situation of Covid in the western Odisha is improving. There are enough beds in the state.Where there is a requirement of beds, we are ready to provide them.
When asked about the availability of oxygen, he replied, the state has surplus amount of oxygen in the stock and even in covid care centres we have arrangements for the oxygen supply.
The second wave of Covid might hit the peak in the first week of May. He urged the patients with mild symptoms not to panic and rush to hospitals seeking admission. Only patients who are critical will be admitted to the ICUs for treatment, added Dr CBK Mohanty
