COVID Guidelines For Hostels Issued, Informs Odisha School And Mass Education Department

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has reportedly issued COVID guidelines for both private and government hostels across the State, informed School and Mass Education Department Minister Samir Ranjan Dash on Saturday.

While speaking to the media persons about the guidelines, Dash said that the guidelines have been issued by the School and Mass Education Department with an aim to contain possible outbreak of coronavirus in the hostels where students are staying.

As per the reports, Covid cases have not yet been reported from Government schools or hostels in the State till now, the Minister said, however, positive cases were reported in some private hostels following which they have been already closed, he added.

The district administration has been directed to take action after getting reports of Covid positive cases in the hostels or schools.
