Covid-19 Update October 18: Bhubaneswar and Cuttack record 144 and 27 positive cases respectively

Bhubaneswar: As on October 18, the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has reported 144 new covid-19 positive cases. On the other hand, 27 positive cases were detected in Cuttack city (CMC area) today.

According to reports by BMC, out of the total 144 positive cases detected today, 60 positive cases are quarantine cases while local contact cases are 84. Out of the total 27 cases registered in CMC on Monday, 3 cases are from institutional quarantine, 16 cases from home quarantine and 8 local contact cases.

The recovered cases in Cuttack city are 41 while 181 persons have recovered from the disease in Bhubaneswar.

The total cases in Bhubaneswar now stand at 1, 16,053 while the total recovered cases are 1, 11,438. The total death cases recorded in the BMC is 1044.  Active cases in the city are 3550.

Total Covid-19 cases in Cuttack city are 44,469 while the recovered cases are 43,683. The active cases today are 695.
