Commissionerate police directs people to submit guns ahead of General Elections 2024

Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate police in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack has directed people to submit guns ahead of the General Elections 2024.

There have been clear orders to submit firearms before the elections. Ahead of the General Elections 2024, the Cuttack Bhubaneswar twin city Police Commissionerate has made extensive preparations.

The Police directs people to submit guns and have taken strict measures to ensure that no one misuses their licensed guns during elections. Therefore, the person who has taken the gun license has been ordered to submit the gun to the nearest police station within the next 25 days.

Those who do not submit will have their guns their license will be canceled and legal action will be taken. Those whose license has expired will also have to submit their firearms to any police station.

According to the data obtained, 86 people have taken gun license from the capital in the last six years. The Election Commission has ordered the police to submit guns to make the elections tension and violence free.
