Soro: An undergraduate girl student of Khaira College here committed suicide by hanging herself to the ceiling of her house in Asimila village under Bahanaga block in Balasore district last night.
The deceased has been identified as Smitarani Mishra.
Smita who was pursuing her second year +3 degree course in the Khaira College went to sleep in her bedroom last night after having dinner. However, she didn’t wake up till long this morning and her family broke into her room to spot her dead. She was seen hanging to the ceiling of the room by a saree.
Khaira Police reached the spot and seized the body for autopsy later.
While the exact cause of the suicide is yet to be ascertained, police suspects failed love behind the incident.
