CM flags off ‘Mo Cycle’ service in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik flagged off the ‘Mo Cycle’ service in the city along and launched the ‘Mo Cycle’ mobile app in the city today.

The ‘Mo Cycle’ service which will operate under Odisha Government’s smart initiative, Public Bicycle Sharing (PBS) project, will be available to the denizens for free for first 30 minutes of ride in the capital city.

As per the information, these bicycles will be stationed at 120 points across the city and denizens can avail the ‘Mo Cycle’ service by paying Rs 100 per month. The service could also be availed through ‘Mo Cycle’ mobile app and the bicycles will be tracked by GPS system.

While, 1000 bicycles have been made available in the first phase under the project, the move is aimed at curtailing the pollution rate in the city as well as to provide people a means to lead healthy life, informed an official.

Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has already laid a 3-feet wide bicycle tracks painted in red across the city ahead of the launch of the PBS project.
