Paralakhemundi: With no respite in sight from growing crime against minor girls in the state, a Class 10 girl has been outraged of her modesty by a youth in Panasadiha village under Ramgiri police limits yesterday.
As per the report, the victim girl was on her way to Tabarsingh High School in the morning while the attack took place. The accused intercepted the girl and raped by taking to a secluded place.
After the girl reached her home later in the day and reported the matter, they lodged a case with Ramgiri Police.
Acting upon the complaint police have arrested the accused identified as Narendra Raita of the same village.
Both the victim and the accused have been sent to Paralakhemundi District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) for medical examination and an investigation is underway in the incident.
