City Police Team Reaches Delhi to Bring Three Accused Involved in Kanan Vihar Robbery

Bhubaneswar: A team of police personnel from Chandrasekharpur police station has reached Delhi to bring three suspects involved in the robbery of household articles worth more than Rs 10 lakh in Kanan Vihar in February.

Deputy Commissioner of Police, Anup Kumar Sahoo said that the three suspects under transit remand for further interrogation.

Police said that the three suspects were the members of a 10 member gang which had sneaked into the house of the banker and had held her five-month-old baby on knifepoint.

The gang had decamped with cash of around Rs 1 lakh, jewelleries worth nearly Rs 9 lakh and six costly mobile phones. One of the gang members had also allegedly kissed the baby before leaving the house.

“Delhi Crime Branch has arrested three people for their alleged involvement in gun trading. However, the accused during further interrogation confessed of several crimes including the robbery in Bhubaneswar. Subsequently, they informed us and we have sent our team,” said a police official.
