Cattle-Laden Pick-Up Vans Seized, Over 40 Cows Rescued In Odisha

Bhadrak: The Odisha police rescued more than 40 cattle from two pick-up vans after it was spotted by the locals near Gelapur Square on National Highway 16 in Bhadrak district of Odisha.

According to reports, four pick-up vans were illegally transporting the cattle to West-bengal from Chandikhol.

The illegal transportation of the cattle was stopped by the locals. The  pick-up vans were gheraoed at the Gelapur Square in Bhadrak.

On getting the information, the local police arrived at the spot. During the search two vehicles escaped, while two other vehicles were seized by the police.

As many as 40 cattle were rescued by the cops and they were left in a cattle shed near Maidapur.
