BMC extends closure of Bapuji Nagar and Unit-4 Non Vegetarian Markets till this date

Bhubaneswar: Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Saturday extended the closure of Bapuji Nagar and Unit-4 Non-Vegetarian Markets till July 1.

“In large public interest & with a view to contain any further possibilities of spread of COVID-19 virus, the closure of Bapuji Nagar Market is extended up to 1 July 2021 because of aggravating COVID-19 situation at Bhubaneswar. Shops dealing with essential commodities & Medicines are exempted from the above order,” said the BMC in a notification.

“In large public interest and with a view to contain any further possibilities of spread of COVID-19 virus, the closure of Unit-4 Non-Vegetarian Market (Wholesale & Retail) is extended up to 1 July 2021 because of aggravating COVID-19 2021 situation at Bhubaneswar,” said the City Civic body in another notice.

Both Bapuji Nagar and Unit-4 Non-Vegetarian Markets were sealed by the BMC for violation of COVID guidelines.
