BJD Releases Candidates’ List For 1st Phase Elections In Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) on Monday released the list of candidates for 9 Lok Sabha seats and 54 Assembly Constituencies.

The BJD candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls are Pramila Bisoyi (Aska), Chandrasekhar Sahu (Berhampur), Prasanna Acharya (Bargarh), Kalikesh Narayan Singh Deo (Balangir), Kaushalya Hikaka (Koraput), Pushpendra Singh Deo (Kalahandi), Dr. Achyuta Samanta (Kandhamal), Sunita Biswal (Sundergarh) and Ramesh Majhi (Nabarangpur).

Of the nine MP candidates announced by CM Naveen Patnaik, eight candidates are new faces. Only Balangir MP Kalikesh Narayan Singh Deo has been repeated.

Furthermore, CM Naveen Patnaik will contest the polls from Bijepur in Bargarh and Hinjilicut in Ganjam district.

Here is a list of the BJD candidates who will contest the 2019 polls from 9 Lok Sabha seats and 28 Assembly Constituencies in the first phase of elections in the state, starting from April 11.
