BJD Moves EC Over EVM Vandalisation At Brahmagiri & Satyabadi

Bhubaneswar: The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) has moved the Odisha Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) alleging involvement of BJP workers in vandalisation of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) at Kamasasan in Brahmagiri and Birkishorepur in Satyabadi of Puri district.

BJD has alleged that BJP Satyabadi MLA candidate Om Prakash Mishra and his supporters vandalised the EVM at booth no 78. Similarly, BJP workers destroyed EVM machines at Kamasasan in Brahmagiri and brutally thrashed a BJD worker present there.

Submitting a memorandum to the Chief Electoral Officer, the Conch party alleged involvement of BJP in both the incidents. It also demanded stringent action against the accused involved in the incidents.
