Keonjhar: Throwing a challenge to police, unidentified miscreants robbed a businessman of Rs 15,000 near Keonjhar railway overbridge late last night.
The victim identified as Dillip Behera also sustained bullet injury during the loot as the miscreants opened fire at him.
As per the report, Behera, who runs a shop in a nearby market, was returning home after business hours, when the robbery took place. A group of four bike-borne miscreants intercepted him and demanded the cash bag at the gun point.
Later, the looters fired at the victim’s hand and stomach to injured him badly and decamp with the cash bag.
Behera has been admitted to a nearby hospital for treatment following the incident.
A police case has been lodged in the incident and investigation is underway.
