Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday said that the Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY) of the state government is better than the Ayushman Bharat of the Central government.
“Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana is a historic step since both BPL and APL persons will get the health benefits under the scheme. It is way better than Ayushman Bharat,” said Patnaik while speaking at the ruling party’s Jansampark Padayatra in Ward No 9 of Bhubaneswar North assembly constituency.
Challenging the Centre’s scheme, the CM further questioned as to whether any disease sees poor or rich before affecting a person? And, what people not belonging to BPL category will do then?
“The State Government is there for people of both BPL and APL categories,” he added.
“Even Odia people living outside the state can avail the benefit,” the CM said further.
