Cyclone Titli: 8-member Central team to arrive in Odisha tomorrow

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Joint Relief Commissioner Pravat Mohapatra on Tuesday informed that an 8-member Central team, under the leadership of S.K Shahi, Joint Secretary (Center-State) Ministry of Home Affairs, will in Odisha tomorrow for damage assessment caused due to Cyclone Titli and subsequent flood.

Vandana Singhal, Chief Engineer, Ministry of Power, Rakesh Kumar, Regional Director, Ministry of RT&H, Regional Office, Bhubaneswar, Sushant Kumar Shamal, Superintending Engg. (Coordination), M/o Water Resources, Regional Office, CWC, Bhubaneswar, Virender Singh, Director, Dep.of Agriculture & Cooperation and Farmers Welfare DRD, Patna, G.R.Zagar, Sr. Consultant, Department of Drinking Water Aupply & Sanitation, R.B.Kaul, Consultant (FCD), D/o Expenditure and Guljari Lal, Under Secretary, Ministry of Rural Development are the other members of the team.

According to Mohapatra, the Central team will be divided into two groups. While one group will visit Ganjam district, the other group will visit Gajapati district.

They are slated to submit a report to the Union Government by 2 PM on November 2.
