Bhubaneswar reports 314 new Covid-19 cases including 230 local contact cases

Bhubaneswar : As many as 314 new Covid-19 positive cases have been reported from Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) area in Odisha in the last 24 hours, said the civic body in a tweet on Tuesday evening.

Of the fresh 314 Covid-19 cases in the State Capital, as many as 230 patients have been transmitted through local contact cases, while 84 cases have been detected from quarantine, the BMC added.

The civic body further said that as many as 354 persons of the city have recovered from Covid-19 in last 24 hours.

To date, the total number Covid-19 cases in Bhubaneswar has increased to 24,228, out of which 20, 571 persons have been cured and 105 persons have lost their lives due to the virus. The active cases of the city stand at 3,531.

“Further contact tracing is still continuing. Primary contacts & nearby houses are being quarantined, sanitized & will be under active surveillance, “BMC tweeted.
