Baripada: Mayurbhanj Police on Friday launched ‘Team Traffic’ consisting of 30 traffic constables to manage the traffic in Baripada Town.
The traffic wing has also been given one PCR van and four two-wheelers equipped with modern equipment like GPS tracking.
The traffic wing of police was launched by IG of Eastern range, Diptesh Kumar Pattanayak. “The town is a traditional place with narrow roads and streets for which traffic congestion is a major concern. But with the new traffic wing traffic management will be smooth. The wing will be further strengthened as per requirement,” said the IG.
